OpenPBS vs SLURM ?

Is there a user guideline on how to choose between OpenPBS vs SLURM ?

I couldn't find a proper answer here, nor the docs, nor community forum, nor googling it.

@elgalu me too, you have to dig into literature and find something here and there, there is not a clear document, discussion or academic guideline, try to search more on HPC supercomputer forums, somehow they reported some useful information that can be a good starting point.

They are competing products, so each will say that they are better :) I think it comes down to which product would be a better fit for your needs. You might find it useful to post this question on the community forum: https://community.openpbs.org/c/users-site-administrators/7 where other HPC users might be able to provide better insights.

Maybe it helps if you check for your system if it's packaged and can be installed natively? These links might be helpful:
