Pie chart: can we make legend colors consistent across candidates?

Open evanwolf opened this issue 10 years ago • 4 comments

Tried to compare pie charts and it's hard since the "Self Funded" category, for example is Turquoise in one chart and Purple in the next. Can we make categories the same color across similar charts?

Bonus points for color-blind friendly colors. (each color distinctive in brightness and saturation).

Unfortunately Google charts does not let you control color by title. You can build the chart and then assign colors by segment number. Since the titles come from the database this makes things hard. I sort by the titles to try to make things come out the same, but they still vary.

Thanks, Mike. Let's assign this to someday.

I actually would love to fix this… I have it running on the back burner and I hope something will occur to me.

Perhaps an alternative to Google Charts? A little googling showed many choices, some with options we'd want.
