Hello, is it possible to add the HDD Temp in Dashboard look like that? Temp Dashboard

Absolutely easy but smart feature should be enabled I believe.. When OMV 5 is released.. I think I will make a dashboard widget that shows comprehensive info about drives, if they have file systems or not and if they are part of a RAID array..

I see the effort is not worth it now if things changed suddenly in omv 5 stable release.. I prefer to wait and see what the final things will look like.

@myomv100 I doubt any widget code you would write would need changing for the stable release.

This would still be good to have.

@votdev how to proceed (close or add to backlog)?

Put it on the backlog, maybe someone will pick it and contribute it for OMV6.

I use scrutiny in a docker as a workarround and works fine for years:

OMV6 has a SMART Status widget. Displaying only the status is by intention; there are systems with dozens of disks out there where a layout like it is used in Scrutiny does not make sense.

Peek 2021-12-30 13-24 Note, this is recorded using a virtual machine without useful SMART data. But on real systems the color (green, red, gray) of the device displays the current status.

and is really useful, thanks a lot for it, but is not related to the topic (show HDD temp.), I only mention scrutiny for the people that need to see the HDD temp in a graph (really useful indeed too).

Happy holydays and a happy new year.

Yes, the HDD Temp is actually missing in Dashboard.

Mister-XY avatar Dec 30 '21 13:12 Mister-XY

For people with a large number of drives (16+), putting the temps on the dashboard would just clutter it up. Looking at the Devices tab in the SMART plugin shows the temps.

so it will be in next release ?
