We'd like to do a strategy session in the Feb 27 TAC meeting, where TAC members could discuss ideas and goals for the TAC over the course of 2025

Common themes:

  • Expanding Mentorship Program, including looking into other programs like Google Summer of Code to leverage.
  • Stand up the Mainframe Infrastructure
  • Mainframe Education ( focusing on administrators, and more specifically around cybersecurity )
  • Developing an AI chatbot for project documentation
  • Assessing what we can do to level-up our existing projects?
  • Develop a directory of Experts / Subject-Matter Experts and identify areas of expertise with the Open Mainframe Project
  • Move projects out of the incubation stage?
  • Start a mainframe industry group on using/promoting Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs)
  • Overall Increasing Communication and Collaboration
