cannot install on macOS 14.2.1 using the dmg installer

Open flyon opened this issue 7 months ago • 1 comments

Ive downloaded the latest dmg file for mac called Virtuoso_Open_Source_for_macOS.dmg from here: https://github.com/openlink/virtuoso-opensource/releases

After installing it and opening the application from "Applications" I can see the process is running in the Activity Monitor. But http://localhost:8890/conductor does not open

I also don't see any other indication that it's running in the menu bar or in the dock (not sure if I'm supposed to).

I'd really like to experiment with virtuoso but I can't seem to get it to work. Ive also tried downloading directly from the openlink website and following instruction there for 8.3. Same result.

Any suggestions?

In the Virtuoso "V" menu, there is a menu item, "Open Diagnostic Messages", which opens the virtuoso.log file, which includes information on the Virtuoso server startup activities. Please provide a copy of the log file for review, as it will show whether the Virtuoso server started successfully and on what ports it is running for SQL (default 1111) and HTTP (default 8890) access, i.e., something like:
