Join the Free Journals Network?
I am associated with the Free Journals Network (freejournals.org), which advocates for Fair Open Access (journals free to authors and readers, and with good governance), applies for grants to support them, and provides resources for those interested in flipping their journal to Fair Open Access.
We have just started and hope you will email [email protected] asking to join. Then our advisory committee will checks eligibility and quality, after which we will list JOSS and JOSS will please link to FJN from its website.
Thanks for this suggestion @alexholcombe. I'm definitely interested in doing this. It looks like the only thing we don't have in the currently list of criteria is the explicit statement on publication ethics.
We're working on this over in #496
Great, I'm now following the publication ethics github issue so hopefully I'll notice when that's done and can remind you all to sign up for FJN
