Frustration about the openHAB installation on Synology NAS

It's so frustrating. What has happened that the great Synology community is so neglected. I put a lot of effort into getting Java 11 to work, now I'm failing to install OpenHAB version 3.0. I don't dare upgrade to DSM 7 because then I'll probably never have the option of installing OpenHAB. It's too much to cry, I don't understand it!

For the same reason, I moved to the docker version of openhab 👍Le 18 août 2021 22:01, westerbur2020 @.***> a écrit : It's so frustrating. For this exact reason I have NOT upgrade from OH 2.x yet. Everything is working just fine for the last 2 years now.

Best, Jay

Hi Olilala, it is a DS216j with DSM 7 and Java 11 on it.

with DSM 7 you can't run openhab natively, so you need Docker, but your DS216j doesn't support Docker. --> currently you have no chance to run openhab on your nas, because you can't (official) go back to DSM 6 and your nas won't get Docker. maybe there a some people, that find a way in future, but I don't think so ...
