have you tried using different ports while installing? 8080 is a pretty commonly used port, try changing to e.g. 8090 and port 8443 to 9443

I had packages installed but not used. I removed unused and rarely used packages, restarted my DS412+ and openHAB installed properly. So one of those packages was causing the issue I guess (unfortunately I removed more than one at the time so don't know which one)

can we change the port 8080 to e.g. 8090 after the installation ?

Seems like you can change the ports after installation, i found this in OpenHAB docs:

https://www.openhab.org/docs/installation/security.html#webserver-ports

same problem here... can't install, because 8080 is in use... it is used by a dms system on docker. cant be shut down.
