Issue with Charts in two pane mode

Actual behaviour

On the "root" sitemap page you need a chart and a widget that links to a subpage. Open the app in two pane mode. The chart is loaded with &w=<full screen width>. Open the subpage and wait until the chart is reloaded. Now it's loaded with &w=<1/3 screen width>, thus the legend is much larger. On my 7 inch tablet I can hardly see the graphs, because the legend is so large.

Expected behaviour

I'm not sure, how to fix this. We need reload the chart when it moves from the right to the left pane or the other way round. And maybe hide the legend if the chart is on the left side.
