When sending message to telegram group topic via the api you can pass the reply_to_message_id with your topic reply id and the message will be send from the bot to the topic.

Can this be done using the telegram openhab binding? If not, is it possible to add it?

Please use the forum to ask questions where more people then have the ability to reply. Only if its a bug or feature request open a issue.

Your also asking if it is possible to do already which shows you have not taken the time to check yourself and need support via the forum before making a clear request. Feel free to post a link to a forum post where others have confirmed it is not possible and that no other work around is used, otherwise people will not take this request serious if you do not do the basic work first a volunteer will not spend any time on it either. Sorry to be blunt but this is not the place for support or checking how to do something.

I have already downloaded the code and investigated. The openhab telegram binding does not support it but the underlying telegram dependency you use does have the capibility.

Please re-read this topic as you can't be more wrong. We are all volunteers spending our spare time. You might have done some checking, and spend some time in looking into this feature request, your posts show the opposite.

Anyway, let's move on to the request. I'm not fully understanding the request yet.

Can you tell us the api feature you would like implemented? Give us an example of how it should work in an example rule or some other way to make the suggestion? I am currently adding new features and fixing bugs so now is a good time to make a clear suggestion.
