I would like to take up this issue. Is there any dataset available/ preferred that I can use for POC. Also is the classification problem multi-label classification.

I think something like region based CNN will be useful to solve this problem. The same thing has been discussed in the following paper. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1506.01497.pdf Also a module to read barcode for the given product can also be integrated into the pipeline
