Open Data Qualifications
I was going through the ODI certificate process to see what it was about, using OpenFarm as a test subject, and there were a couple of things that it raised that we should probably do with our data:
https://certificates.theodi.org/datasets/24212/certificates/47663
- [ ] Service Availability Guarantees
- [ ] Service Status Information
- [ ] Offsite back ups
- [ ] Data dumps
- [ ] Quality Control Process
- [ ] Document How To Fix Errors in the Data
- [ ] Link to our API from our main site (where did our footer go?)
- [ ] Remove individual identification (user ids?) from anonymous API accessing.
- [ ] Add machine readable rights information to our API calls (license, license holder, etc)
- [ ] Have an actual API endpoint (right now it gets treated as a locale)
- [ ] Conform to the JSON API
- [ ] How can people request corrections to the data.
@simonv3 Its not clear what is required to be done on this issue
basically making sure that the data on OpenFarm confirms to the ODI standards. For each thing on the certificate, we'll have to double check that we do it or not. If we do it, then we check it off. If we don't do it, then we comply with it.
