crop rotation? intercropping?

hey there

im looking for an app that can produce a full garden design including crop rotation (four years cycle, strong-middle-weak-zero) and intercropping (mixed cultivation, plant symbiosis) based on my usda hardiness zone and/or my climate profile (annual trends of temperature and rainfall)

at first sight, this projects only can tell me how to grow one crop ("1. Choose a Crop 2. Find a Guide 3. Grow!") ... right?

i guess that "real farmers" do this with knowledge+pen+paper but this could be a learning game for novice farmers to learn about plants

Did you ever find a tool that does this? 🤔I am long-time organic farmer, turned software developer. Sounds like an interesting idea. My favorite tool for crop planning is tend.ag, but it still requires you to know a large amount of information yourself. It sounds like you are talking about a tool that takes some inputs and just spits out a suggested rotation and plan.

i guess that some commercial tools have this feature, but i think its a bad idea to depend on such centralized providers...

but then, in the worst case, we will anyway go back to knowledge+pen+paper ("amish style")
