We would really like to see a simple short essay option for exams rather than having to use ORAs or Turnitin

Another item that we currently do with JSInput problems that could be way simpler to implement than it currently is.

+1 to this. Anecdotal description of the most common use case I see.

• Student needs to write something with minimum length requirement.
• They get credit for submitting a valid response.
• They get some general feedback like an "ideal response" or "what we are looking for" from the instructor.

We've used OpenCraft's Problem Builder or hacked this in the past. But it's clunky and getting old. Seems like the new ORA will take over some of what ProblemBuilder is able to do.
