This draft PR addresses the issue https://github.com/openebs/mayastor/issues/1297 and shall encourage discussion. This should not be merged as is as there is a dependency that needs to be resolved before this can potentially be merged:

  • The OpenEBS fork of spdk needs a branch for v23.01 similar to https://github.com/MaisenbacherD/spdk/commits/wip-v23.01.x-mayastor when v23.01 is released.
