ONL Installation without ONIE

Can ONL be installed without installer ONIE???We have a ONL build based on Debian 8.

I have a similar problem and I have installed ONL on the device.I want to upgrade ONL on ONL, I don't want to upgrade the system through ONIE, do you have a solution? thank you

You do not have ONIE on the switches currently? What switches are they?

I already have ONIE on the switch, but I want to upgrade ONL on ONL so it's easier to manage.I'm using a white box switch.
