"two pillars of open companies"

thought it would be nice to write a long-form essay about the two ideas that are driving this initiative, largely as a summary of ideas from chad and tim, although I threw in my own "de-siloization" observation. The idea being that all the open companies should adopt some measure of both pillars as a baseline, although the degree to which each company adopts these can vary (and there are good specific cases where complete adoption is not a good idea).
