Entropy function rewrite

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Currently there are multiple entropy functions sprinkled throughout the codebase. This creates a situation of difficult to maintain code and can also introduce the potential for security vulnerabilities. The potential for vulnerabilities comes from the differences in each function.

Describe alternatives you've considered There are no alternatives to this. Centralizing and strengthening the entropy function is vital to security and maintainability of code.
