Open datalith opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Version of the software

2.5 beta

Operating system

windows 10

Browser / Native

Chrome

What happened?

I'm trying to use selenium in op2, But I'm always getting this error: "The chromedriver.exe file does not exist in the current directory or in a directory on the PATH environment variable. The driver can be downloaded at http://chromedriver.storage.googleapis.com/index.html."

the path of chrome.exe is correct, I downloaded the chromedriver but I don't know in which directory I have to paste it, I paste it in op2 directory, and in chrome direcotry, still facing same error.

Relevant LoliCode if needed

Hello! To ensure Chrome Driver works properly, follow these steps:

  1. Check your Chrome version by going to chrome://settings/help.

  2. Based on your Chrome version, select the corresponding Chrome Driver from the following link: https://googlechromelabs.github.io/chrome-for-testing/#stable.

    • For example, if you are using Windows, download the win32 version.
  3. Place the downloaded Chrome Driver into your libraries folder.

By matching the Chrome Driver version to your Chrome browser version, you should be able to use Chrome Driver without any issues.

Note: Make sure to use the Chrome for Testing builds of both the browser and Chrome Driver to avoid compatibility problems when the end-user Chrome version auto-updates.

I hope this helps clarify the process! Let me know if you have any other questions.
