Homepage app per group
Currently homepage is for all non-developers. It would be good if I could set a default app per group. That way we can create a group per department in our company, and have each user only see their department app by default.
@jimhuds Hey Jim, thanks for the request. So what if one user stays in two groups that has the different default homepage apps?
That's a good point. I would suggest per user or per user override but that would make it a little finicky maybe.
Retool seems to deal with it with this message: "Set a home page for this workspace to have users in this group automatically be routed to a certain app on login. You can only select from apps this group has access to. Membership in groups with different permissions may prevent a user from being sent to this group's homepage."
I'm not sure what the best option is really, but it would definitely be a useful feature for us, regardless of how it is implemented. Makes it a lot easier to invite employees, as they are greeted with exactly what they need after log in, so I don't have to teach them how to navigate to their app/create a generic landing page with links and permissions.
