Verify uploads

A user recently managed to break upload! The image uploaded, and an email was sent, but there was no benchID assigned and no transcription. The user reported that their computer fell asleep mid upload. Only one of the 3 images made it.

Possible steps to fix:

  • A benchID must be created before any other action.
  • Verify that all media have been uploaded.
  • If the upload appears incomplete, delete the image and present an error.

Possible solutions:

  • If a bench ID isn't created, delete the images.
  • If the user tries again, allow replacement images to be uploaded if the original wasn't associated with a bench ID
  • Allow duplicates
  • Manual reconciliation (what we do now)
