Do a final review and edit of footer content

Open JoannaHill opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Visual design is complete for new planning alerts footer based on best of the bunch of other OA sites. Final review can be conducted once design is implemented in production.

@JoannaHill Is this now ready for me to look at? This is how it looks when I toggle theme on my desktop now.

Is the request here about the two sentences copied below? If so, what do you like about what's here, and what needs to change and why?

Find out what is being built and knocked down in your community and have your say. Run for the benefit of the general public. Not the government. Not developers.

this has changed since the issue was opened. Note donations are not currently tax deducible.

I rather like the pithy statements and including 'community' in "Find out what is being built and knocked down in your community and have a say. Run for the benefit of the general public. Not the government. Not developers." Perhaps amend "Run for the benefit of the general public." with "Run for the public good", 'public good and public goods' connote ethical position and shared ownership, vs "public benefit" generally used in an economic context that people will derive some benefit/benefits - be given something.
