movie/timeshift folders are being created automatically on hdd

Dear Lads,

I noticed something related to openatv-7.3-zgemmah9s-20240615_usb on Zgemma H9S. Even with setting Recording folder to /media/mmc/movie and Timeshift folder to /media/mmc/timeshift. OpenATV is creating these two folder again at each reboot or powercycle in /media/hdd/ How to solve this ? To mention that this was an old issue but closed as fixed.

Best Regards,

Duplicate of https://github.com/openatv/enigma2/issues/2446

I tried to recreate it under openATV 7.3 7.4.1 .

It turns out that this problem occurs for the recording directory or playback directory and not for the timeshift directory. This means that the recording directory is not created automatically after a restart, but the playback directory.

The recording directory is probably only created automatically when a recording starts.

@Kerberos1988 Can you confirm that the timeshift directory works as intended?

Can you confirm that if you set the playback directory to the same directory as the recording directory, the problem no longer occurs?

Have you mounted your disks using UUID (MENU - Settings - System - Storage Devices - Mount Management - GREEN, Set up mounts)?

Do you still have the problem after every restart or after flashing with settings applied?

I can confirm that both directories are being created whenever they are used. Although Playback, Recording, and Timeshift directories are set in /media/mmc/directories.

Why are they still getting created on HDD ?

This is definitely not the case for the playback directory and the timeshift directory!

When are the directories created under /media/hdd? After a clean flash, after flashing with the settings applied, after a restart...?

And I ask again: Did you mount your storage media using UUID (MENU - Settings - System - Storage Devices - Mount Management - GREEN, Set up mounts)?
