OSX workaround
Hi, I would like to use shinyproxy on OSX.
It seems like the only way to connect to the daemon of Docker For Mac, is using unix:///var/run/docker.sock. However, if I change url to unix:///var/run/docker.sock in application.yml, an error occurs:
Status code: 500
Message: Failed to start container: unknown protocol: unix
After some digging, get the workaround that works:
socat TCP-LISTEN:2375,range=127.0.0.1/32,reuseaddr,fork UNIX-CLIENT:/var/run/docker.sock
It takes me two hours to find the workaround. I guess other people who using OSX will need it as well. Please add it to the documentation if you're in convenient.

@tverbeke yes, it works. Of course, I need to execute brew install socat in the terminal first (if anyone doesn't have brew on his/her OSX, go to https://brew.sh/).
Ahh sorry for being late to the party. Is there any update to this solution for 10.15 (Catalina)? I have been scouring the forums for any hint on getting Shinyproxy to work on my Mac, but there seems to be no solution.

Hi Shrektan and Tobias, when I run socat TCP-LISTEN:2375,range=127.0.0.1/32,reuseaddr,fork UNIX-CLIENT:/var/run/docker.sock the shell prompt just waits for more input. Why is it so hard to get shinyproxy running on a mac? And why doesn't the shinyproxy 'getting started' documentation offer any substantive help on this issue? Thanks
I forget (maybe I don’t know) and I suggest you use docker-compose as I mentioned in the comment above.
