OpenAI just proposed banning DeepSeek, claiming it’s “insecure” and tied to the CCP. Funny how they conveniently left out the fact that DeepSeek can run completely offline, while OpenAI’s models can’t. 🤔

What’s really insecure here? Maybe it’s OpenAI’s attempt to mislead lawmakers who might not understand the difference between private and public AI hosting. But WE KNOW.

DeepSeek has been a powerhouse in the AI community—open-sourcing research, driving innovation, and contributing in ways that actually move the field forward. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s name is starting to feel like a misnomer.

And let’s not forget the irony: accusing DeepSeek of being “in bed with the CCP” while OpenAI has an NSA association on its board? 🕵️‍♀️

It’s time to call out the double standards and demand transparency. The AI community deserves better.
