Codex IDE extension for VS Code doesn't save local sessions at close

Latest version (v. 0.4.3)

Which model were you using?

gpt-5

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.0.0 arm64 arm

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Having local Codex sessions in VS Code then closing VS Code and reopening VS Code wipes all prior local sessions.

What is the expected behavior?

That local Codex sessions in the IDE are saved even when VS Code is closed

What do you see instead?

Local sessions are wiped

Don't know if this is the right place to post the IDE bug report, but the IDE extension doesn't have its own dedicated Github.

yes, yes, yes. I just want to report it. this issue is very important. every local chat history is important to save lots of time next time. I am using it inside vscode at windows 10. please fix it.

This was just released as 0.4.6 (0.5.6 vs code pre-release)
