Hi all, I'm blocking this PR for now until we have an initial decision from the GC about the proposal for a new SIG. We'll revisit this post then.

@tiffany76 I have decoupled this blog post from the SIG proposal:

  • the title was changed
  • the first section clarifies that this is a 3rd party community project
  • the blog post does not have any link to the SIG proposal

No pressure :). I just wanted to make it clear that I decouple it from the SIG proposal so It can be published separately.

hi @svrnm are there any updates on this blog post? It should be decoupled from the SIG proposal and made clear that it is 3rd party project or let me know what else you would like to change in the content.

I would like to make some progress with this PR.

@pavolloffay I still think that the proposal and this blog post are tangled. If we go forward with it then I rather have a Call For Contributors blog post and then later when the group of people has created an early version (which might build upon yours) we can have a blog post that is closer to this one, so

  • Proposal has a good chance of being accepted -> we put out a CfC to get more people involved -> you work on that -> we do a blog post on 0.1 that gives people some insights on what you have build
  • Proposal gets rejected -> we rework this blog post and publish it.
