Why logs are not send to otel collector?
Hi,
I use java lambda with aws-otel-java-wrapper-amd64-ver-1-32-0 layer. I see traces are sent to the otel collector, but logs were not.
How can I send logs to Otel collector using otel layer?
Im not a contributor or maintainer but from my readings; currently the lambda (external) extension collector has not been configured with a logs receiver or an exporter so its no surprise that you are not experiencing this specific telemetry signal being exported. I am unsure why, but I am definitely curious 😅 Would be very keen to hear about the intentions from those closer to the project
Setting up a logs receiver and receiving telemetry via local nextwork calls from the runtime offer sthe opportunity to forgo cloudwatch logging and the entailed cost of paying for that logging service

Are you mentioning about auto capturing console logs (System.out and System.err) or logs over logging libraries (log4j, etc ...)?
