Suddenly unable to edit times on events

Open ipsquiggle opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

I first noticed this a few days ago, on Dec 9th. I can no longer edit the time of an event when I post it, nor after the fact by editing it from the history view. The date picker appears to match my selection, I hit submit, but when the view refreshes the event always shows the current time. (It also flashes the current time on the date picker at the last moment before submitting.)

I tried editing and posting events from both my phone and my laptop, same results. I feel like this coincided with the android date picker changing from the native "scroll through a wheel of numbers" to the generic browser "pick a number from the list" but that could be a coincidence.

Thanks.

Repro:

  1. Press a tracker
  2. Press the ellipsis and choose a time in the past by clicking on the hour.
  3. Submit the event
  4. Observe that the event was logged "now" instead of at the chosen time

Further testing, it seems this happens in firefox exclusively. Contrary to the above report, I was also using firefox on Android.

I've been using firefox for years, so this does seem to be a new problem.

It sounds like this might be related to the issues described in #126

Should we close this issue?

I'm unsure; I got so frustrated I've just been using chrome for this one PWA ever since. If you'd like to clean house then go ahead and close it, but I can't verify either way at the moment.

Just in case, this is still happening and I can reproduce, its just that it is a duplicate of the other issue
