Cannot move a timer event to the previous day - on Sundays

Open allo- opened this issue 5 years ago • 12 comments

I have a #timer event, which I added after midnight and then wanted to move to the previous day. After moving it vanished and I cannot find it at all. First I thought the problem is that it spans from yesterday over midnight to today and tried to move it such that it is completely in the previous day, but it vanished again.

I use the nomie production version from the homepage with local storage.

I looked at a backup and the moved event seems to be deleted.

Allo, did this happen on Sunday by chance?

I think it was 25 to 24, i.e., Sunday to Saturday. Testing now (Thursday to Wednesday) it seems to work.

How do I force the PWA to reload? I am still on the September release. I tried to open it in the browser and reload it there, but this seems not to refresh the PWA.

Nomie 5.4.4 is the current production release - what version are you seeing?

5.5 will hopefully be rolling out this Sunday.

I have 5.4.4. I just thought you had already released the next version. Then it's okay. Do you have an idea about why it failed on sunday?

I have the same issue on a sunday on 5.4.4

I also can confirm, that it happened again for today 2020-11-08, now even with a simple counter.

There's also an issue of changing time for any tracker event for me. It doesn't change at all.

In the old nomie this worked for me (but was rather complicated to calculate the seconds). I did not try it in the new version, yet.

@TrigonaMinima can you give me the steps you're going through so I can try and reproduce?

brandoncorbin avatar Nov 11 '20 14:11 brandoncorbin

@brandoncorbin sorry for the delayed response. Here's what I observed:

  1. I am adding an event in Nomie at 9 am on 18th Nov. The event was for 1 am. When I am changing the time from 9 am to 1 am, it gets changed in the UI, but when it's saved it takes the current time.
  2. I am adding an event in Nomie at 9 am on 18th Nov. The event was for 8 am on 17th Nov. Again, I am able to change the date and time in the UI. Albeit when it's saved, the date is changed, but the time it used was around midnight.

Version: 5.5.0 Storage: blockstock

Hey, just in case this is still happening on firefox. In general event's can't be changed hour nor time. #132 not sure has the same root cause but both seem to describe the same thing.

Any clue on what might be happening, and is there anything I can do to help resolve the issue?
