this didn't work for me. i got the error:
AssertionError: MMCV==0.4.3 is used but incompatible. Please install mmcv>=1.3.17, <=1.5.0.
so i went in and looked at the mmcv files to figure out the equivalent of 'load_url_dist' in the version i installed, which was 1.4.8, the latest available on pip. and i'm pretty sure it's 'load_from_http'. i substituted 'load_url_dist' for 'load_from_http' on checkpoint.py and the error is gone.
however, i am still dealing with a multitude of errors and haven't been able to fully ascertain if that solved the problem, so no guarantees here. this is just the best i could do. installing mmcv-full didn't work, no version between 1.3.17 and 1.5.0 worked.
