Deleted Glossary Remains Visible in Navigation Pane

Open kshinde3110 opened this issue 1 month ago • 3 comments

Affected module Glossary

Describe the bug After successfully deleting a glossary, the glossary entry is not immediately removed from the left-hand navigation pane (the "Glossary" board) and remains visible even after the user refreshes the page. The video shows the "table_glossary" entry being deleted, but an entry named "table_glossary" stays in the list, and a banner error "glossary instance for table_glossary not found" appears when the user clicks on another item in the list

To Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Govern -> Glossary.
  2. Create a new Glossary.
  3. Click on 3 dots and Delete the glossary.
  4. Once deleted user sees an error message -> "{glossary-name} deleted successfully!"
  5. The deleted glossary details are still visible on the screen. User clicks on Activity and Feeds task tab and sees a message -> glossary instance for {glossary-name} not found
  6. Refresh the page. Deleted glossary is removed but the message banner stays -> glossary instance for {glossary-name} not found

Expected behavior Upon successful deletion of a glossary, the corresponding entry should be immediately and automatically removed from the left-hand navigation pane ("Glossary" board) without requiring a manual page refresh.
