Form statistics filtering does not work as expected

The forms statistics show a nice overview of the submission count - but when you start to filter the forms for a certain period the results are not what's expected.

this form - first submitted in may - latest in juli should show up at least when i filter in may and juli but instead shows 35 submissions in Juli, and is completely missing in may.

This would indicated the forms are filtered on the "latest submission" value and the amounts are static.

I would expect to see the total amount of submissions for only the month i filter on, and the combination of these months would add up to the total we see without a filter.
