"App has encrypted binaries" issue only on one device
When i install an ipa with extensions on my iphone 6s plus running ios15.7.8, it displays the encrypted binaries prompt, and the extension for the app doesnt show up/work when i launch the app. However, on my iphone 14 pro running ios16.1 , the prompt doesnt pop up, and the extension works fine. both are running TS 2.0.12. Note that the app and extension supports both ios versions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This makes no sense, the message is shown based on a flag in the file, it should be the same on all devices.
I know it makes no sense, thats why I created a ticket. I installed TS on my 6s plus by first jailbreaking it with palera1n, then installing using trollhelper. Im not sure if this causes the issue, or if older devices have trouble reading or decrypting the files in the ipa. I couldnt replicate the error on my other devices. I will upload photos for reference after I get home. Thanks for your help
The ipa in question is JOOX with iosgods modification, which is like an asian version of spotify.
Could you send/link the exact IPA you used with which you experienced the issue?
i think i may be due to the ios version, since I have had multiple apps working on ios 16 but had the same issue on ios 15

Whether or not a binary is encrypted does not depend on the iOS version, nor should the encryption detection be limited to iOS version in TrollStore code.

I am getting the encrypted binary alert on my device on iOS 16.3. Please update to TrollStore 2.0.13 and try on both devices.
the same problem still persists after updating to 2.0.13 on the 6s plus. but not on my 14pro
I should add that the app size displayed in TS is 297.9MB on the working 14pro, while it is 297.8MB on the non-working 6s pro.
Are you absolutely sure that you are using exactly the same IPA on both devices?
