If the text-generation-webui crashes and restarted but the web page is not manually refreshed, sending a message wipes the whole dialog

Describe the bug

Sometimes text-generation-webui crashes (for example, trying to load core-r-plus in Exllama2 can crash it, or OOM errors in llama.cpp when figuring out right split values between GPUs), then if I restart it, reload the model, and go to the chat but donot manually refresh the page before sending a message, it irreversibly wipes the whole dialog. I tested this with intruct chat.

Is there an existing issue for this?

Reproduction

After crashing text-generation-webui, restart it but do not refresh the page, load the model again (does not matter if it is the same or different), go to the Chat tab and try to send the message. All previous messages will be completely deleted.
