Support for Capacitor?

My boss linked me to this project as we're building an app using Capacitor by Ionic (think of it as a modern Cordova), and upon looking for a package that can handle DB management, we found nanoSQL. I see there's support for Cordova, and I wonder, are the plans to support this capacitor framework? if there's not going to be anytime soon, what do you suggest we could use?
