[bug] Screenshots added from the screenshot button don't seem to work

Describe the bug

Either the image preview from the "screenshot" icon button in the corner to the left of the arrow doesn't work, or the screenshotting mechanism doesn't properly capture the selected frame. Perhaps a bug after branching was introduced?

@drfarrell I fixed it by improving the DOM rendering fallback mechanism, so the screenshot button in chat should work properly now
