Translate Oni
I guess that if there is demand, then support will follow.
First step though is prepare for localization (both core UI and in plugins).
I guess that some i18n module should be used?
I can't offer help with the translations themselves but I'd be happy to do/help out with the technical work involved in getting the application ready for localization.
Do the maintainers have a preference on the i18n module to be used? I have experience working with React-Intl but I'm assuming there are strings that are displayed outside the context of the browser. I've heard good things about i18next but I don't have any experience with it personally.
I'll start on extracting the strings from the menu and wiring in i18n support this weekend. If my approach makes sense I will continue on from there.

Quick update - I made some progress on adding support for translating the menu but things aren't completely wired up yet. Hoping to get a functional implementation done tonight (Oct 8th).
@bees , how is the progress? I might be able to help you with your string extracting efforts if you need.

I got tripped up on some likely trivial things - I will push up what I have tonight (likely around 2 GMT).
Seems like it was mostly trivial things - here's a minimal working example for the menu: https://github.com/bees/oni/tree/add_basic_localization
Next step is to get the i18nstore loaded on the browser side.
