Tab rows flickering when closing last remaining tab of a row number 3

Open smartini87 opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

The taskbar starts to flicker/blink like a stroboscope when a Tabs-row is being "removed" when the only remaining tab of that row is being closed. The flickering does not finish until I create a new tab via "CTRL+T". Then a new row will be added and a new tab as well, the flickering will stop then.

It only happens when I have already 2 rows fully populated and the third row is being closed. FYI: I also have pinned tabs at the left side of the bar.

Firefox version: 106.0.2 (64-Bit) Windows version: Windows 10 Pro

Attached a video to demonstrate the issue.

Try to reduce tab min-width so that the new tab button will stay on the 2nd row when it is full.

The simple workaround is the to change the preference for new tab button to left or right side, instead of after last tab.

Isn't it better to auto force a larger min thus it can properly pop a new row?

I did it and only solution which works now is a tab-width of min 70 - which is a little too less, because I can't read the website titles anymore, only see the logo on the tab.

Try increase min-width to let a new row pop.

Thanks, that worked very well.
