major refactoring -> readability + extensibility

the changes are completely non-destructive, but just make it SOOOO much easier to read and work with. (and prettier to look at)

really hope you can "live with" this kind of overhaul.. trust me, it was out of love...don't shatter my hope that mankind can move forward, together! ⚐ ☺ ⥱ ⌘

ps..i fell down this slippery slope when I opened it up to add HEX support. if this goes well, that will follow, shortly!
