[FR] remove articles from Omnivore after importing

I would love to be able to automate this. It would great being able to automate it and not having to go to the website every time and manually delete the articles already imported one by one.

In any case, thank you so so much for this brilliant software. I use it every day!

Sorry i missed this one before. Can i ask your general workflow? You save content to Omnivore, sync it to Obsidian and read it there? So you mostly want to use Omnivore as a pass through to make it easy to save and prepare the content for Obsidian?

FYI, there is a delete APi, its just weirdly named for some historical reasons, so setBookmarkArticle and you pass in false to the bookmark param.

Thanks for your interest, jacksonh.

This is my workflow:

  1. I annotate an article in Omnivore.
  2. When I finished, I archive it.
  3. At some later time, I import Omnivore annotations as notes in obsidian.
  4. Then I go to omnivore website and delete every archived article (which is the same in my case as deleting every imported article).

That step 4 is what I would love to automate, by having this wonderful Obsidian plugin deleting articles after successfully imported them into Obsidian.

Thank you so much.

I want to update this so say that the original request has not been achieved.

There's no option (to my knowledge) for deleting articles in the website after importing in obsidian without user interaction.

The new delete feature achieves the goal of deleting from obsidian, but with the unwanted consequence of also deleting the article from obsidian. It just happened to me and I couldn't recover the deleted article (even worst, I didn't even have time to know what it was about, so no way whatsoever).

So, my requests are:

  1. Option to automatically delete original imported articles from website after importing them into obsidian (while keeping them in obsidian).
  2. OR at least, option to manually delete imported articles from website WITHOUT deleting the corresponding notes in Obsidian.

Thank you so so much for the awesome Omnivore.
