I am not sure if it maintain compatibility with all of symfony versions. Did you test it against them?

Hi, what is the status of this? Currently we are unable to update our CraftCMS installations as one of our plugins uses this package and it is incompatible with Composer 2.7.0 as it requires symfony/process 5.0 and above - which this PR introduces.
