The helix/rev3_4rows default layout in qmk serves as a good starting point. here's my base layer as a reference

note that the bottom row's two outer keys will not be mapped to any physical key on the keyboard. also, the blank key third from the right is a physical key on the sector c, but i just left it blank as i don't know what to put on there yet
