Main User Feedback re. the Wallet Experience

Open CAPtheorem opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Major weak point is constant L1 and L2 switching required as the user interacts with L1 and L2. So something as simple as transferring some funds to a friend on the L2, from your L1, and also, contributing to both L1 and L2 Liquidity pools, takes 3 to 5 refresh/Metamask set-L1 or set-L2 steps, which is way too many. Design target - user opens wallet and sees all their balances on both L1 and L2. Then, user selects action. If not on correct chain for that specific action, then allow user to move to correct chain for that action with one click, so the chain change and action can be performed in fewer than two clicks on average.

  1. Documentation, Add L2 button, wallet front page probably wrong since the new L2 endpoint is https://rinkeby.omgx.network - note https
  2. Explain meaning of greyed-out buttons = liquidity pools low?
  3. Not clear where to click to stake -> action is called 'Details' - Perhaps we could rename 'Details'->'Staking'
  4. [wording] Two instances of you first need to approve this. -> you first need to allow us to hold {amount} of your {tokenName}. The goal is to make it more clear what it actually means when people click approve, since most people have zero idea what happens when they click approve
  5. [wording] _Your tokens will be deposited into the liquidity pool. Meanwhile, you are rewarded with a portion of the fees collected from the swap users. The current reward rate is 3.5%. Whenever someone fast exists, the user pays a 5% fee, of which 3.5% is added to the liquidity pool of the token they used._ Suggest: _When you deposit tokens into the liquidity pools, you will earn a share of the fees collected from the users of the Swap-On/Swap-Off system_.
