We really need some very basic screencasts:

• Omeka S Dashboard Orientation
• Creating an Item
• Creating a Resource template
• Organizing items in Sets
• Creating and customizing a site
• Creating pages, using blocks, and navigation
• Importing Items and Media (CSV Import and File Sideload Modules -- with a reminder about setting the PHP-CLI path)
• Using controlled vocabularies and numeric data types (Value Suggest, Custom Vocab, and Numeric Data Types modules)
• Mapping
• Collecting Materials from the Public (Collecting Module)

I just spoke with @mebrett about Screencasts- I have the Dashboard Orientation and Settings, Items Sets, and Vocabularies videos finished. I'm re-editing the Creating an Item one to include the Sites tab. I'm drafting the importing and Sites scripts.

She said to check with you about doing the modules and controlled vocabularies screencasts to see if you wanted me to do those since someone new was brought on to work on documentation and screencasts.

Hi @dth1692. Sorry I missed this. For some reason, I didn't get a notification. Given the end of the summer, the best thing is for you to finish up whatever screencast you have in production, and we'll call it a day. I would not move forward with drafting new scripts. Thanks!

Regarding CSV Import - it's a complex enough module that we might think about a series of shorter screencasts:

• Importing items, including showing how to reference existing Omeka S resources
• Using CSV import to update (use same dataset as in previous)
• Mixed resources?

It's super complicated. I agree that more than one would be good.

Do we have a screencast on creating resource templates? Maybe that is integrated with the vocabularies?

Not yet, as far as I know. I'd say that and a basic "add item" are the priorities for next screencasts
