No devices discovered when using any other group except "Public"

Open vasalmona opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like devices in any group that is not the Public group are not being discovered and shown in the sources list. We can add sources by entering the IP address manually but as far as discovering devices and showing them in the drop down list, only the ones that are in the Public group show up in the list. We use groups pretty extensively because we have a lot of sources on our network. It would be great if there is a way to add groups support to the software.

Hi @vasalmona Great to hear you're using the NDI-controller 😊 Yes, this is also on my list of thing i wish to be fixed, and upgrading to NDI 5 would be a part of this. At the moment there are no sponsors on this project, and the needs of my prior sponsors are met. So until i have extra time, someone hire me or someone contribute with some code, I have to prioritize other stuff. Hope you understand 😊 Kasper

Hey Kasper, Thanks for getting back to me. Not a problem. We are exploring the software now and seeing if it's something we could integrate into our facility. One of the other engineers is looking forward to testing it with our new 2110 roll out. We have an Imagine Communications Magellan SDNO system, and it supports Ember protocol so we want to see what we can do with it. I'll reach out to you when I get some feedback on how things work. Thanks again for the great piece of software! Keep up the good work.
