Washer door sensor not working. Model WM3600HWA

The binary_sensor.lg_washer_door_close from the washer's door sensor is not reflecting the state (open/close). The corresponding attribute {{ state_attr('sensor.lg_washer','door_lock') }} is not changing.

It always states: "unkown".

door_lock is not door_close, if you search for corresponding attribute you should search door_close. door_lock is not provided by your device because not listed in device model_info. I suppose that when you say that door sensor is not reflecting the state is because is not following the HA door logic, but this sensor is on when the door is close (for this is called "door close") Anyway in next release (still not released) I did a couple of change:

  • door_close sensor and attribute will be replaced by door_open to follow the logic of HA Opening binary sensor class
  • door_lock will be exposed for washer device that do not provide this information in model_info but is available in the payload
