Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. No

Describe the solution you'd like Be able to enable and disable energy saver mode for air conditioners

Describe alternatives you've considered

Additional context Today I only use LGThinq app because of this feature if your integration had it I would stop using LGThinq immediately.

I agree, having the possibility to control the energy saver mode from home assistant would be great. It's the only reason to use the LG app.

Would be great to add Energy Saving & Silence. Kind of weird that the device itself doesn't stay on those modes after turning off and on...

As the device turns Off when I'm away, and turns On when I return; for know, I guess, I'll have to use a combination of that and an automation cloning the IR remote's commands (ex: broadlink) to automatically set both settings every time it turns on.

+1 to this

Also, to clarify, my AC unit ('RAC_056905_WW-RAC', firmware 'clip_hna_v1.9.188') has two energy saving modes:

A. I can cycle thru 100%, 80%, 60% and 40% power. Not available thru the app, only via the remote. B. My unit also has the "night mode" which lowers fan (¿silence?) and consumption. Available thru the app in the☽ (moon) menu and via the remote with the ☆ (star) timer.

The first one can be implemented with a choice selector (like fan speeds) and the seconds as a switch.

I can see some references in the device json:

  • airState.rac.addFunc: ENERGYSAVING,
  • airState.opMode: @AC_MAIN_OPERATION_MODE_ENERGY_SAVING_W
  • airState.smartCare.status": @AC_SMARTCARE_STATUS_PLEASANT_W, @AC_SMARTCARE_STATUS_SAVING_W
