Encoder setup - Ex-situ encoder calibration error
Hi @olliw42 , I have a 2-axis gimbal setup using GM3506 motors with external AS5048A encoders connected to NT motor modules (FW v0.55e) via SPI. The main board is v4.1 (FW v2.73e).
When trying to perform ex-situ calibration, following the instructions (https://www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-v2-wiki/Getting_Started_with_T-STorM320), the 'rrange' command returns reasonable values, but also error +12345, which is not documented anywhere:
The IDs and pole-pairs for motors are setup correctly. 'getsetup', 'moveby50', 'reval' etc. commands work, so I assume the communication with encoder modules is not the issue. Also, I double-checked the soldered SPI connection, following the diagram:
The GUI seems that it cannot find the connected encoder modules, which is strange:
The 'Data display' don't show any encoder values.
Can you please help me to resolve this issue?
