Android Auto patch script?

Open Skipson opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

I've been following the development of a toolbox for mib2std for a while and now that it's finally here, I was wondering if there's a way to port over the Android auto patch from the Mib2High toolbox to here? That would allow the use of the performance monitor app on Android auto. Is this something I can do myself by just copying the script over and making minimal changes or does it need a whole rewrite?

On MHI there is a file where we can just edit the neccessary lines to make this available... So far I didn't find this file in the filesystem of the MST... thats the problem I have here

Oh ok. It didn't even cross my mind that the file may not exist...

The credentials need to be somewhere but maybe they are inside the .so files... and thats a pain to edit it in there.

I found way to enable android auto and apple thingy

after the patch has been done connect OBD programmer and enable folloving

If you want to add Apple CarPlay/AndroidAuto feature to your car you need to add to *.FEC file needed codes and make coding with VCP:

Connect to 5F module, go to "Adaptation", from list choose "Car Configuration" and make changes: Google_GAL -> ON Apple_DIO -> ON Mirror_link -> ON Smartphone_interface_for_rhmi -> ON

Next You need to go to the long Coding and check: byte_19_USB -> full

In some MMI systems you need to change USB adapter!!!

If You nedd to turn on Performance/Sport Menu (only for ZR units) code this option via VCP in 5F module ("Adaptation" -> "Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2"): menu_display_SportHMI -> ON menu_display_SportHMI_over_threshold_high -> ON

Are you on Android 14? Did you try to install the app using King Installer https://github.com/fcaronte/KingInstaller/releases
